For most people, radishes are a vegetable that just get pushed to side; usually overshadowed at the dinner table by broccoli or green beans. What is it: Radishes are a crisp spicy vegetable from the mustard family. They are eaten all over the world, actually originating from China. They are also related to kale, broccoli, cauliflower, and horseradish.
Why eat it: Radishes are known to nourish healthy glowing skin, strong connective tissue, and strong nails. They contain loads of vitamin c and beauty minerals, silicon and sulfur. They can also help reduce water retention, ease digestion, and support thyroid health.
